Harry Redknapp has offered his views on the Robin van Persie deal to Radio 5Live. The former Spurs boss says he spoke to Sir Alex and the boss worked hard on the transfer because he didn't want to lose out like he had on Samir Nasri last year. Redknapp says the Reds chief shook hands on a deal with the Frenchman, only for the then Arsenal star to join Manchester City instead.
