Arsenal Won’t Budge Over Van Persie Fee

Arsenal are standing firm over a £25million fee for striker Robin van Persie.
Reports yesterday claimed that a deal worth £22million was about to be agreed between the two clubs and while that isn’t the case at present it is a scenario that cannot be ruled out given the prevalence of bonuses and add-ons in so many transfer these days.
Arsenal have an asking price of £20million should van Persie be sold to an overseas club, £25million for sale to a Premier League side. United are preparing an increased bid having already seen one of £15million rejected by Arsenal, but the bid may still be less than £20million.
